Life is Most Definitely a Gift

February 6, 2008

While working this morning, I got a text from a friend telling me that another friend that we had graduated college with passed away yesterday. He died of a massive seizure. It is terribly sad.  In May, he and his fiance graduated from college, got married a week later, then moved to Las Vegas to be youth pastors.  I was just reading his myspace page where his profile had the space to list any children he had. It said, “Someday”. It hit me hard to realize that would never happen.  Why does God choose to take some and leave others? I just don’t get it sometimes. I guess I just have to realize that life is very fragile and that this isn’t home.  God has each of us on this earth; each for a different time and purpose. Let us not strive for anything less.
